Sonos Digital Music System: ZP-80 Bundle

ALERT: Your days of having to stream music through your PC are over! Sonos now delivers the ability to stream straight from Rhapsody!

The drawback to this design is that the first Zone Player you install must be hardwired to your router. Unless you have Ethernet to a stereo, that unit is essentially wasted. (It’ll play your music, but that’s redundant because your PC can do the same...

Sonos ZonePlayer 80

Sonos, one of the biggest names in multiroom digital audio, has released the Sonos ZonePlayer 80 ($999), a more affordable version of the ZonePlayer 100. Using a wireless network, the ZonePlayer 80 lets you play the thousands of digital music files...

Compact. Excellent audio quality. Broad file format support. Very easy setup.

No WM DRM, FairPlay, or WMA Lossless support. No photo support. Controller lacks a headphone output.

This is a truly excellent wireless audio solution for people who already have a good home stereo system and audio playback devices in multiple rooms. And it's surprisingly easy to set up.

Sonos ZonePlayer 80 Bundle Wireless Digital Music System

Normally, whipping up new music mixes isn't part of my dinner party preparations, but with the Sonos Digital Music System, that's just what I found myself doing on a recent occasion. The handheld Sonos controller is just small enough to slide into a...

Review: Sonos ZP80

Sonos produces a great product that lets you tie all your sound sources together into one seamless network. Its original configuration is pricey. The company's newest offering, however, is a more affordable, entry-level system, but you'll have to spend...

Sonos responds to feedback with a new, complementary ZonePlayer

Over a year has passed since we reviewed the Sonos Digital Music System, and it remains the most complete and easy-to-use multi-room audio system. If you've already got a home stereo or powered speaker system (or two), the introduction of the ZP80-a...

Provides nearly all the features and benefits of the ZonePlayer 100 to an existing stereo system for a lower price and in a much smaller package

No headphone jack ; Digital Music System requires at least one ZonePlayer be connected to your computer, router, or wireless bridge ; Digital Music System still has a few minor limitations noted in

When I first took a ZP80 out of its box, I was shocked by its diminutive size. At only 5.3 by 5.3 by 2.8 inches, it's less than 1/4 the size of the original ZonePlayer, and can easily be held in the palm of your hand. In fact, the ZP80 is closer in...

The ZonePlayer 80: A lower-priced option for Sonos fans

Sonos takes a great product and makes it more affordable. Reviewer Jim Buzbee has finally found a wireless audio player that he will be sorry to part with.

Before I tried out the Sonos system, I'd been satisfied with my Airport Express setup. But no longer. The Sonos system has raised the bar. Even though there were some rough spots, the positives for Sonos far outweighed the negatives. Of course, given...

Sonos ZP80 Digital Music System

Has Sonos created a wireless digital music system that can satisfy an audiophile?

The Sonos Digital Music System certainly doesn’t disappoint on the first count. After digging all of the various components out of their various boxes (and there were a LOT of boxes), I had the system connected to my PC and streaming music from the...

Sonos ZP80

When Sonos first released its Digital Music System last year it got some excellent reviews. Allowing you to beam music wirelessly to any room in your home and orchestrate the entire process from a neatly designed remote control, it looked a winner....

We love the remote control, but the need for an ethernet connection is a real flaw with the Sonos. Considering what you're paying, you might expect a rather more seamless system.
