Value for money. Good picture.

Limited sound functions. Slow to react to remote control.Internet clunky and let down by lack of ITV player, a Sony issue as previous player didn't have it either.

The Sony BDV-E290 has a sleek design (It is not bulky, like some other manufacturers). Other than the wurr of the motor opening and closing the disc drawer (which is to be expected), It is quiet in its operation

At present, I have not came across any bad points that I know of. It could be early days yet as, I am not using the product to its full potential.

Inability (mine perhaps) to set it up to come on with TV

easy set up and easy to use, good sound. Long cables for rear speakers ( we have them 3m away and there is spare length). We hooked it up to a 3D tv and the picture looks great in 3D! Sound quality seems good - although the bass can be a bit heavy when...

you need to buy a separate HDMI cable and an optical cable to connect the TV and BT Vision box to the Home theatre system. Also the Wifi dongle has to be purchased separately.

complicated on wi fi side , need additional part to use fully.

Bit slow to switch between TV and BR , may be around 30 - 60 sec timelag
