Tivoli Audio iYiYi

While the sound of this iPod-dockable clock radio speaker system didn't blow us away, the iYiYi offers improved bass over the iSongBook and decent features in an attractively styled package.

Attractive design; clock with alarm (wake to iPod songs); supports Radio Data System (RDS) text feeds from stations that offer them; iPod charges while in dock; auxiliary line-in; included remote offers more than basic control over your iPod.

Expensive; bass could be stronger; no bass and treble controls; no video output.

While its sound didn't blow us away, the iYiYi offers improved bass over the iSongBook and decent features in an attractively styled package.

Just add your iPod for what's virtually a micro system – great sound quality and decent FM/AM reception make for a versatile speaker dock. Price is now £189

Add an iPod-based radio alarm to your morning routine.

Solid, reliable and chunky feel to it. Good sound, reception and good remote control
