not for the hunter

don't plan on using it on objects out past 200 yds on a sunny day, it doesn't work and if you think it will work at 400 yrds on anything good luck, has to be a moose with a mirror strapped to it.

Easy to use

Great upgrade

This is a great range finder for archery and gun deer hunting. It is very compact and easy to carry but the strap was not put together properly at factory and is not useable.

Do far so good

I have practiced with this several times and compared distances with another range finder that I have. They both give the same distances. I have not had the chance to use it in the field hunting yet but will update this after next week. Shipping and...

Great!!

Simply great! This is my 1st rangefinder and I couldn't be more pleased. I've only used it for bow, but the rifle feature may come in handy, as I shoot open sights. The ARC works like a charm and takes the thinking out of which pin to use from up high.

Compact, accurate and fast laser rangefinder

What is in the box Rangefinder Carry case Lanyard Setup A flip out latch turns counterclockwise to remove the CR123 battery cover. Place the battery into the compartment, positive side down, and close the latch. This is more convenient than older...

Great 4 First 100 yd.

Excellent in the fields and woods to estimate distance and elevations. Monocular adjusts to naked eye w/o glasses. But, must juggle with glasses inbetween.

Poor low light no rebate

The rangefinder does not perform very well in low light conditions due to the black lcd readings. Sometimes when depressing the button no reading will be taken need to depress it multiple times in order for it to take a single reading even though the...

Lousy Customer Service

For the record I like the device however it broke after one year of very light use so I shipped it back to Bushnell for repair and they have informed me I am going to be without the device for nearly half of our hunting season (8 weeks or more from the...

lightweight and rugged

Difficult to switch from bow to rifle settings. Won't shoot through mesh in ground blinds. Nice case, lightweight and rugged. The real test still to come this fall when I am in the field for the hunting season.

Good Value for a 1000 yard rangefinder

For $200 you get what you get, has plenty of options, its does the job and does it well. The optics are not the best, Nikon is definitely better hands down but if you just need a good laser rangefinder for bowhunting or up to 300 yd shots and dont want...

The product is all that they say it is. For bowhunting from a treestand it is perfect. I am using it for turkey right now and it is great.

Scout 1000w/ ARCLevel more than just the playing field. Lay'em flat from up high or down low. Amazingly compact and simple to use, our new Scout 1000 with angle Range Compensation (ARC) figures distance based on terrain angle to give you accurate "shoot-like" distance. In Rifle mode, it even tells you where to hold. Available with or without ARC, both units are accurate from 5 to 1,000 yards. Range your target with the tap of a single button - in a unit small enough to fit in your shirt pocket.Features:Built-in inclinometerRange: 5 - 1,000 yards Bow mode - provides true horizontal distance from 5 to 99 yardsRifle mode - provides bullet-drop/ holdover data in inches from 100 to 800 yardsStandard SCAN modeBullsEye™ mode - displays the distance of closest objectBrush™ mode - displays the distance of background objectsMulti-coated opticsWeather Resistant Built-in tripod mountTarget Modes:Bow: Provides true horizontal distance from 5 to 99 yards based on angle. Rifle Mode: Select the ballistic group of your firearm (guidelines supplied). When you range your target, an inclinometer displays the angle and provides bullet-drop/holdover in inches (up to 199") from 100 to 800 yards. SCAN: SCAN across the course while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distance between you and your target. BullsEye™: Geared for close-range use, this mode acquires the distances of small targets and game without inadvertently measuring back ground target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD display. Brush™: Ignores the foreground, such as brush, boulders and tree branches, and provides distances on the LCD display to background objects only.
