Great for wildlife photos....

I have used this lens for the closeups of birds, deer and other wildlife that tend to run when you get too close for a shot. Also closeups of flowers are nice. I used it on my Nikon Coopix 990, it works with the 900 series, 775, 885 and Sony 37mm...

Keyhole effect and/or no exposure.

I've owned this lens for a few years and have tried it with various cameras (still and camcorder) with various thread (30mm and 37mm). 1.) Keyhole effect is insane and unavoidable. Unless you run the camera at max zoom, you'll always be looking down...

Product Specifications

The Kenko KUT-832 is an 8x32 mm monocular that has been converted for digital photography use. It is very simple to use with cameras such as the Nikon Coolpix 900 series. The telephoto lens comes with an adapter to mount the lens on any camera that has 28 mm filter thread. The lens also comes with a second adapter that will allow it to be used with any digital camera that has a 37 mm filter thread, and a tripod mount for better balance with certain digital cameras using the mount will put much less strain on the cameras filter threads. When mounted the telephoto capabilities of the lens are increased by 8 times. This allows for photographing of very distant subjects. The telephoto lens has a minimum focus distance of 70 cm (27.5 inches) meaning it can be used as a macro lens as well. The KUT-832 can also be used as a compact monocular when the size or weight of a pair of binoculars is not convenient.
