Regardless of endless technical accolades, there is an unmistakable void while watching Avatar at home for the first time that have nothing to do with the three additional discs of content or new footage coming later this year. I never thought these...

A "no doubt" reference quality a/v presentation ; Pandora is a world worth visiting repeatedly

No bonus features or 3D ; Retreaded story

While there are no supplemental materials on the physical Avatar Blu-ray Disc, there is a unique code packaged with every Avatar Blu-ray that allows you to join the Avatar Program via your computer. The program promises "exclusive first looks & sneak...

Three Eggs...

The movie itself would be well worth the money if it was only a complete package, having no special features is something I would expect from a movie in the five dollar bin.

Very good movie, but mainly for the visuals... the storyline is unoriginal(Dances With Wolves/The Last Samurai)but it keeps you involved. If you haven't seen it I would rent it and wait for the full release on dvd/bd before you decide to buy. Oh did I...

No special features, they're re-releasing it in theaters I think in August (with an added 30-40 minutes of content). Then they're releasing a 3-D version with special features on dvd/bd, and finally after that they will release the entire package on...

Great googly Moogly!

Attractive packaging, not overdone, but not understated either. Just the right amount of 'OOOOh' factor without being cheap. Played fine in my Blu-Ray drive, but, I did my research beforehand, and made sure to update the firmware to latest drivers. No...

This was my first Blu-Ray disk, and I have the normal Avatar DVD as well (Mixup ofer drives, I wound up buying a Blu-Ray combo drive, once I found out such things existed, but after I bought the DVD. Gah!) and the difference is like VHS to DVD,...

The Blu-Ray has zero spcial features. Nothing. The main menu is a near-clone of the basic DVD. So there's no 'behind the scenes' or 'making of' or any of that. Supposedly it's all online. Comes with a special code that lets you access the website to...

Great popcorn movie. Must watch for action and special effects junkies

Watched the tracking status on this and was excited when it showed up at my local UPS facility then was shocked the following morning when I went to check if it was out for delivery and it was BUT TWO STATES AWAY

A dull story made worthwhile by stunning visuals

A 3D special edition will be released later this year. If you even want to see this movie again, I'd suggest buying that version. The only reason to watch Avatar is for it's amazing visuals, and the visuals in this edition at not only 2D but also...

The visuals in this movie are absolutely amazing. From a technical standpoint and from an artistic standpoint, Avatar is a masterpiece

The story and characters are both bland and weak. The story is especially typical and very predictable. It's frustrating how weightless all the character's choices are

A little drawn out in a couple of parts

1.78:1 Aspect ratio. Need I say more? This film doesn't have those notorious black bands at the top and bottom, so it will fill up your entire 1080p screen. Fantatic? I think so. Very crisp movie (in terms of video quality), and spectacular CGI

No, this film isn't the best film of the decade, regardless of what you heard. Avatar has an incredibly generic plot
