Reply From Memorex

Short of finding a stock of V1 drives somewhere, people need to know there is NO Lightscribe support on the current versions of this drive.

USB3, Support for most known formats

No longer has Lightscribe with V2 drive according to Memorex when I wrote them. They claim this is due to the "developer" (not sure if he meant Lightscribe in general or just their hardware developer, but I suspect the former) has discontinued support...

Good but with suspicion

I would give this seller 5 out of 5 stars but can't because they had included "Lightscribe" capability on the initial description. That's a big let-down. But then I can't give them 3 stars because of the holiday price I paid - $69.99.

Burns well on my Mac and PC

NO LIGHTSCRIBE!

I know that not having lightscribe is a minor inconvenience and I am still happy overall with this purchase, but its a matter of principle that I expected this drive to have a feature that was advertised and it does not.

Able to read and write Blu-ray discs, DVD's, and CD's ; External drive is convenient and fast with USB 3.0

NO LIGHTSCRIBE. The title clearly said "lightscribe" (which newegg has already changed) and the description still says "LightScribe enabled to burn and label directly on the disc", clearly this is not the case
