Samsung BD-F7500, BD-F5900, & BD-F5100 Blu-ray Player Comparison

Samsung's 2013 Blu-ray players stay pretty much withinthe lines. They continue to phase out analogue connections, while focusing onsmart features, UHD, and 3D playback. This year they are offering threedifferent units, the BD-F7500, BD-F5900, and...

We’ve already covered Samsung's 2013 soundbar lineup and hometheater lineup, both of which impressed us, but the Blu-ray lineup is a littlemore lackluster. Don’t get us wrong, the units are fine, and Samsung’s SmartHubis an industry leader, but as a...

Basic bluray DVD player, Sm footprint

Panasonic, LG both good brands and probably better build. Look for "wireless" not just internet connectivity. Read to see if you need to use cable to connect to your router for internet service. Thats ok for firmware upgrades but a pita for perm use to...

Samsung rep, small footprint, stylish rounded edges

cheap build, feels flimsy, plastic tray is really fragile feeling. Definitely not getting a deal here as its priced just where it should be, in fact, Id price it at $50 and free s/h then youre right where you should be. $60 is actually higher than I...

I like Samsung....this is the first product from them that is a real bummer

cheap price

This unit broke down just 7 days past the 30 day return limit. The video failed. There is still something of a picture but noisey, snowy, mostly streaky red screens....totally unwatchable. Software upgrade to latest version did not help. Also the build...

Does NOT have Wifi

I just want to post to let people know to ignore the reviewer that comments on how easily this unit connected to his Wifi. This unit does NOT have wifi capabilities.

I can't comment on pros or cons, as I am returning this without having used it

No wifi

For the price, this is a great buy, so purchase one for every TV in your home. Not supporting some recordable formats and using Cinavia has some drawbacks. If my unit would play DVDs then i wouldnt have to return it. Still great NewEgg shipping and...

Pricing is excellent. Blu-Ray playback looks good. Boot up is a little slow but there is a menu option to help speed it up and it does work. Nice to include some standard apps for youtube, netflix, etc

My unit would not play DVDs at all. all other supported formats play fine. All DVDs tried would just click a couple times, eject and error on screen. Does not support a few of the DVD recordable formats that a higher end player supports. Cinavia,...

best entry-level blu-ray player!

easy set-up, quick response, easy to update software and browse youtube. I don't play DVDs or Blu-Rays much so this is perfect for a first-time player or a spare

doesn't come with any cables but you can get nice HD cables for $4 separately

Great BD Player

Links to other brand TVs so one remote can start playback with start of player.

Small and sleek. Splendid up conversion for DVD, better than average BD playback. Included apps are OK too
