Consumer review (newegg.com)

I normally go for cheap, but...

I've had good luck with refub laptops and A/V Receivers and things before. Thought I'd get away with saving some money on a refurbished BD player. But with mechanical things like this that entail physical spinning and laser head calibration, etc.,...

Got a good deal for it ; Sister model to the well-liked BD-F5900 ; Smart Hub (newer models in this price bracket apparently don't have it anymore) ; Good remote ; Good image quality ; Dual-core processor was good for apps

Broke right after refurbished warranty expired. No longer reads any Bluray discs. Upgraded to latest firmware, no dice. Only DVD seems to work now

Good device - great app support

I bought this as it was the one blu-ray player that supports music from AMZN cloud player as well as the other video services. In that it delivers. Both music and video from AMZN and Netflix are smooth. I have it paired with a Actiontec 500MBPS power...

Is able to play music and video using DLNA from my NAS but is missing an audio codec for some variant of AVI, so some older video will have to be converted over.

SAMSUNG BD-FM59

Nice price ...... turns out to be a bad purchase.

Nice price.

Wi-Fi on unit drops signal every 15-30 minutes. Which requires you to keep entering your security code.

Good Purchase for Refurbished

For the price of the refurbished unit it was a great purchase. Works well, has Samsung App support so I loaded Plex and stream videos to it from the kids. Upconvert looks good on DVD's and has great picture quality compared to some other Blu-Ray...

Can be a little slow to load menus and apps. It's not un-usable by any means but it could be slightly annoying.
