Sony BDP-S760 Blu-ray Player

Very good image with my Optoma HD20 - simply great, quick start, nice sound, I give a minus for his work with DLNA, competition has made it better.

Good Image, great sound, very quick start

Drive have little noisy work

Sony BDP-S760 Blu-ray Player

This player is absolutely great. I have seen several players but this one give the best smooth blu-ray image I 've ever seen. I use it with an HD projector so the envirement is always dark. The remote has an light option. The only thing I don't like is...

Very good image, great sound

no zoom option for letterboxed material

Sony BDP-S760 Blu-ray player review

The Sony BDP-S760 forms part of Sony's late-2009 announcements, offering all the normal Blu-ray niceties, as well as wide audio decoding and a whole host of connections on its rear end. But with the recent posturing from Sony setting up their newest...

Excellent picture quality, audio connections, Wi-Fi

Media support limited, slow starter

If it is just Blu-ray playback that interests you, then the BDP-S760 offers great visuals and with the new wave stacked against it, you may well be able to pick up a bargain

Sony BDP-S760 Blu-ray player

The Sony BDP-S760 is a high-end Blu-ray player aimed squarely at movie buffs and discerning audiophiles.

Superb 1080p picture quality, 7.1ch analog audio, built-in Wi-Fi, surround sound headphone jack, user-friendly interface

Light on multimedia features, doesn't look 'high-end' enough

The Sony BDP-S760 Blu-ray player puts sound and picture quality at the forefront. It also benefits from built-in Wi-Fi and a surround sound headphone jack, two features that set it apart from the pack.

Sony BDP-S760 Blu-ray Player

The BDP-S760 is by far the most impressive Sony Blu-ray player we've encountered to date.

The BDP-S760 is by far the most impressive Sony Blu-ray player we've encountered. Its picture and sound performance is up there with the best of them, the operating system is a dream to use and the feature list is a vast improvement on previous Sony...

Sony BDP-S760 review

The PlayStation 3 is no longer the only Sony Blu-ray player you should consider buying. As well as offering an up-to-the-minute feature set, Sony's stand-alone BDP-S760 leaves the company's games console for dead in the all-important picture and sound...

Best Blu-ray performance you can get for less than £500 ; Features galore, including Wi-Fi connectivity ; Fast

No built-in storage memory ; Not as multimedia-savvy as the LG BD390

Conclusion Having recently seen LG's BD390, it's easy to knock the Sony BDP-S760 in terms of features. But there's no doubt that the BDP-S760 wins out when it comes to AV quality. If performance matters more to you than multimedia-playback capability...

Sony's latest Blu-ray spinner features built-in Wi-Fi and a tempting price tag. Is it the best value-for-money player yet?

Peerless performance at a more than reasonable price
