Ownership update

I've had my VelocityMicro (which is actually an LG CT10 drive) has worked like a champ for a year now. I have not come across a BR movie that it couldn't read. As I said before the Sony drive never successfully played anything. I have used PowerDVD and...

None. I've thrown away the drive

Limited usability

No supplied Cable

Fits in the drive bay

Did not come with special SLIMLINE cable, nor was there a mention of it in the desciption

problem to read blu-ray

NA

The problem with some disc blu-ray is not the drive, only buy the right software for read movie with update and not with mediaplayer or small player movie

More Sony garbage

This isn't the first time I've been burned by a Sony product. The drive came installed on my nettop computer. Wish I would have noticed that the drive was a Sony. I had to purchase a VelocityMicro drive.

It can read DVDs and CDs

It reads very, very few Bluray discs. I've tried updating the firmware that Sony "released" for the drive but it doesn't work. I've never been able to get a single BR disc to play on this drive
