I had just returned the Sony BDP-BX1 (close sibling to the BDP-S350) at Costco, and I bought this unit. The Sony is currently at $279.99 while the Sylvania is at $179.99 through 11/21/08. To my family's naked eyes and ears, we can't tell a difference...
