Review: Netgear N600 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router

This speedy, reliable dual-band router is great to use, although not so great to configure.

While some of the setup and configuration will leave you scratching your head, in action the WNDR3700 is a thing of beauty. The Wireless Protected Setup (WPS), invoked via a button on the front of the unit, worked great. Both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz ...

Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router review

Netgear's N600 is a plain-looking combination ADSL2+ and cable router, only livened up with a blue stripe surrounding the status lights. It's a no-nonsense exterior that hides an impressive specification - 2.4 and 5GHz bands and comprehensive support...

It's a lot of money to spend on a router, but the N600's specification and performance certainly match its premium price

mediocre performance but good enough

This is a fair enough router but the software interface sucks. If you don't use it every day, when you have an issue, you will not find the answer quickly. I had a security issue and the only solution was to reset the device and start over. There was...

Best Router I ever had

I bought this product in Oct/2010, at Best Buy, and I never had any problems since. It's very easy to set up, and I haven't had to change anything in all these years. It just works - period.

Works flawlessly

LEDs are too bright. No Gigabit connection.

Worked great for a year, then has deteriorated since then.

For the first year this router worked absolutely great. Aside from a connection issue with one laptop I had no serious issues with this router. After about a year things changed. Since it has hit it's year mark the wireless connections have suffered...

USB port for portable storage, Great speed when working

Poor 5g band signal strength, Deteriorating wireless signal forcing resets, periodic total loss of usb connectivity, overheating issues

"Works - kinda"

If you want a complicated multi-channel multi-access router this is it! If you want a router that works you may want to look for something else. I cannot connect to an exchange server at work through this router - computer AND iPhone. Sad.

Lots of features - if you want them

Complicated and does not work with exchange servers

I'm gonna smash it soon.

ok, I'm gonna give it a 1 until somebody can give me some helpful advice. I'm not super computer saavy, but with 2 Xbox's and a desktop hardlined, and about 5 or 6 wireless connections, the wireless connections keep dropping. I've tried only using 1...

Good router for the money.

I have the v2 of the model and the only time I've had a hiccup was when I first got the router. Shortly after though, a firmware update was released and I've had no problems since! If you're having problems, CHECK FOR UPDATES. Oh and the big blue light...

Fast, decent 2.4ghz range, functional USB port, looks cool, works great.

5gbz range (although that can be expected)
