TP-Link TL-WR841N Wireless N Router

But if you can live with some caveats and limitations, there's value in this bargain basement router. Specifically, if you live in a small studio apartment with a modest broadband connection -- one that has a download speed of 30Mbps or less -- and all...

The TP-Link TL-WR841N Wireless N Router is super affordable and has good Wi-Fi performance.

The router has short range and its Web interface makes it difficult to distinguish connected computers.

Considering its insanely cheap price, the TP-Link TL-WR841N is a great buy for a small home with modest Wi-Fi needs.

TP-Link TL-WR841ND

A cheap 802.11n router

Price point, fairly fast throughput

Bandwidth speeds decrease dramatically at 15-20m, restricted configuration options

If you need a cheap, close range router that’s 802.11n-capable, then TP-Link’s TL-WR841ND is a viable option. Although its configuration options are somewhat limited, it's quite speedy.

TP-Link TL-WR841N review

The TP-Link WL-WR841N is an incredibly cheap router but only operates on the 2.4GHz band, leaving it with poor performance

The TL-WR841N is a very inexpensive router but its performance and specifications leave a lot to be desired. Ease of use is one of its strong points, but if you're looking for an inexpensive router, the

TP-Link TL-WR841N Wireless N Router review: Bare minimum home networking for cheap

At a street price of just $17, the TP-Link TL-WR841N Wireless N Router is one of the cheapest -- if not the cheapest -- Wi-Fi routers on the market. But that doesn't mean you should definitely buy one.

You get what you pay for.

- Price - Easy Setup

- Wifi signal randomly shuts off and needs to reboot entire router for it to work again. - Signal drops dramatically about every 20 ft. - Bandwidth control only allows about three rules before getting an error message.

Nice Cheap and Simple

I've used this for a month so far and so far it's been working perfect. It looks good (though wish it matched the TL-WR1043ND), and the 2 external antenna really put out a good strong signal. I have a few cons, but all fairly minor issues with the...

I bought this and the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND together to replace my old Linksys E1200 which was always giving me problems. I'm in a very old farmhouse with thick walls so the old router barely got a signal out. Cascading this with the smaller one at the...

I had a TP-Link before my Linksys and had no issues at all which is why I decided to go back. The problem I had with these routers were the GUI... they weren't as nice as what my older TPLink had, not as nice looking or user friendly, found myself...

Worst router ever

If you only have one wireless device this router will work fine, but if you have (like me) several, including a TV, 2 phones, and multiple computers, then you will not be happy with this router.

Extremely easy setup. great gui.

favors one device on wireless. This means the first device/computer you connect to this router wirelessly will get perfect internet and performance. However if a second device connects to the wireless you'll be lucky to get 0.2 Mbps from it. Its...

Works great so far, but power brick squealing

Easy to set up, amazing price, much faster wireless speeds than my older router.

The included power adapter has an intense high-pitch squeal. I will be replacing it as soon as possible, as the noise just drills into my brain. No issues with the router itself yet.

For what I needed to use it for...

Used for quickly adding WiFi to existing LAN. Obviously not super fast, but does what it needs to do (support various WiFi devices like tablets, phones, etc.).

-Easy set up -Lan to Lan works as expected. -4.5/5 for config firmware. -Works as designed.

-None.
