I bought this camera soon after it's release. I have had it for a good 6 years and it's still kicking. Although MiniDV's and Hardrives are the higher quality choice, the ES8000V does a fantastic job at capturing very good video quality.

Amazing quality for an 8mm camera type ; Very Good Reliablity ; Good LCD ; Different Recording Types ; Factory Fades and Effects ; Manual and Automatic Controls ; 440X Digital Zoom

The 46mm lens isn't easy to find attachments for. Of coarse, a handle on top would be very useful but very rare on 8mm cameras. I made myself a handle to fix that problem. The only wide angle lens for the 46mm thread is a .5X. Ebay has some wide angle...
