Canon FS10

Canon camcorders have a long way to go. Unlike Sony for instance, the technology used in Canon's offerings (at the same price point) still needs to evolve. The quality too is seriously in need of reinvention. After having reviewed a few of Canon's...

The camcorder incorporates 37x optical zoom, with a capability to shoot the zoom to a good 45x. Digital zoom is kept at 2000x, which is best kept untouched. The focal length offered by the FS10 equates to 35mm, while the maximum aperture is f2.0 to f5.2.

Canon FS10

In the continuum that runs from low-resolution, cheapo camcorders like the Creative Vado to high-quality, solid-state "prosumer" HD models like Canon's own Vixia HF10 , Canon's line of SD-based camcorders--FS11, FS10, and FS100--falls exactly where...

Compact, attractive design; mic input.

No optical image stabilization; ineffective wind filter; no headphone jack; modest video quality.

Convenient, well-designed camcorders that look pricier than they are, models in the Canon FS series--FS11, FS10, and FS100--nevertheless deliver typical budget video in line with their budget price tags.

"Power Adapter issue"

Good product+bad accessory=hellovan expensive paperweight indeed. Adapter must be ordered from the US of A from a supplier never heard by anyone, even friends from the same block his store is located. Canon discontinued producing the part because......

Nice Product, good images if configured correctly, zoom control is very good (as digital zoom anyway)

5 months after purchasing the product, the adapter blew-up with no apparent reason. Had a replacement, avoided the wall socket where it puffed white, thick smoke. A couple of weeks after, it blew-up again.

A small Camera that takes an okay video

So if you are looking for a Camcorder that is not professional but not mediocre and you want to film no longer than 2 hours than your pretty good with this Item

This camera is Great at taking pictures and videos. The quality video is not prefessional but is pretty okay. I like this camera because it has such a long battery life and I barely have to even touch the memory

so what happens if you want to make a DVD? Here comes the hard part. What we did was at first we used the software that CANON provided, bad idea. for some reason the program can't get through it's mechanical head that we want a DVD not a CD

Don'e Waste Your Money

Don't waster your time and money with this camera as there are many other models to choosee from. I will never buy another Canon camera again.

Compact Size - User Friendly Menu System - Flash memory

Difficult to download video to video editing programs. Not very good in low light recording. Doesn't work with VISTA. Poor suppor from Canon. Waste of time trying to figure out how to make it work by visiting the Canon website
