"Delivers as promised!"

By SprkJonz (cnet.com)

High-quality product that deleivers excellent...

Crisp, beautiful, HD video. Lighting & audio always seems just right. Processor performs well & I've never had any issues with recording, navigating, etc. Using 3rd party software, I easily transferred files to PC & burned to HD-DVD or DVD.

Video editing options are still limited and you really have to have a fast computer to manage that process.

"Great video quality! AVCHD video format still too new"

By BillDemp (cnet.com)

If Canon would include decent software for ed...

Light weight. Very compact. Amazing picture quality. True 1920x1080 recording.

Finding software to edit the files is quite a challenge. No FireWire. Included software requires administrator login to install, which is stupid.

The bottom line is Canon should not hide this...

Nice finish

Frame rates 30P and 24P (P stands for progressive) are converted to 60i interlaced according to Canon's own support.
