Solid performance plus some useful video-centric features make the MV600 a good entry-level choice.

Good optical zoom, night mode, accessory shoe, microphone jack, f1.6 lens, colour IVF.

No DV or A/V In, bottom-loading tape, slightly sluggish zoom.

Excellent entry level camcorder but lacking DV-in or AV-in features of the higher spec models in the range. Now if someone could find a way to enable these features - which are probably there but simply disabled - that would be nice.
