Canon ZR10

The compact, futuristic design and intuitive user interface of the Canon ZR10 easily make it the most polished camera in this roundup. Unfortunately, video quality was spotty in some instances, especially when output to VHS tape. This makes the ZR10...

Canon ZR10 Camcorder Review - Canon MiniDV Camcorders

Canon has always had a history of making MiniDV camcorders that don't fit the typical camcorder mold; the ZR10 is no exception from that rule. Its small sleek design and good features make it live up to the claim on the pamphlet, " the="the"...

ZR-10 Nightmare

Between my friends and I we bought 4 ZR-10 at the local Best Buy. 2 of us had the consistent problems with the loading mechanism. 50% defect is very high and the factory offers no extended warranty and only offers 90 day.

My 14 month old loves this camera

The other reviews are, for the most part, spot on with respect to the image quality, which is good, but not great, and the size, which is *SO* handy, but I wanted to mention the great part about this camera - it is well made.

Small, Lightweight, Tough

Picture quality less than great.

After reading many review on epinions and CNet, I determined this camera was for me. I wanted to import video to my PC, alter the clip and ultimately save to tape ... Digital appeared to be the only route.

Product Specifications

Canon's ZR10 is light enough, easy enough, and powerful enough to turn you into digital moviemaker, so you can make your family and friends into stars. Basically point-and-shoot, the ZR10 takes care of the details, but gives you control when you want it, to add effects to your movies for that extra cinematic touch. Its 10x Optical Zoom Lens can reveal detail on distant, faint objects, while the 200x Digital Zoom Lens makes those objects appear like they're sitting right in front of you. The ZR10's 2.5" Viewscreen moves in any direction, so you cannot only stand wherever you want, you can put the camera wherever you want. And because it's digital, the ZR10 makes movies super-easy to put on the Internet. After all, once you get your ZR10, you'll be making web movies all the time. The ZR10 brings digital filmmaking within reach of your whole family. Once your kids teach you how it works, you'll find that the ZR10 makes video simpler that it has ever been before. And because it's digital, you can email movies, or put them on the Internet - no sweat! You don't have to be a webmaster to learn how.
