ContourRoam Hands-Free HD Camcorder

Contour's HD camcorders have been among our favorite action cameras since the original ContourHD was launched three years ago. However, the old ContourHD (while still a good camera) is getting a bit long in the tooth. So, we're pleased to hear that...

The ContourRoam manages to make Contour's already easy-to-use control scheme even easier by combining the power and record buttons. The ultrawide-angle lens makes framing a point-and-shoot affair. HD video quality is good.

The omission of dual recording modes and Bluetooth connectivity makes it impossible to change video or photo modes on the fly. A microSD card is not included in the purchase price.

The ContourRoam finally matches the rugged construction and ultrawide field of view of the competition, while still excelling as a sports camera with its ease of use and low price.

Contour Contour+2

Better performance, better design, and better value than the original Contour+

Cheaper and better than its predecessor; Rotatable lens, laser sight, and built-in tripod mount

No on-board menu system or LCD; Slow motion mode doesn’t work as advertised

If you’re a Contour enthusiast who simply wants to know whether the Contour+2 is better than the original Contour+, then our answer for you is simple: Yes it is. By a huge margin. The Contour+2 performs better, is easier to use, and costs less than the...

Contour Contour+

An tough, no—frills model with a super wide angle lens and mountable design

Tough, mountable design; Strong colors even in low light

No display; No controls

The Contour+ is such a unique camcorder that you probably already know—without our help—whether its the right model for you. There aren’t many camcorders out there that have an ultra-wide-angle lens, a durable design, and a mountable body like the...

Contour Contour+Camcorder Review

The Contour+ is not an ordinary camcorder. It's a compact, rugged, mountable camcorder that can record HD video at a variety of different resolutions, or take continuous 5-megapixel still photos. There's no LCD or visual display, so to adjust controls...

"Best HD solution for action sports at 200 bones"

For the price, you can't touch this camera for what it can do. It's streamline shape looks appealing on the side of your helmet. Want to look like a teletubbie or like you know what you're doing? Contour scores points in my book for making an...

where do I start?

Lack of floatation. being waterproof doesn't require a housing now. this will affect it "floatability"

Great for the price!

I was looking for a decent action/POV camera for cheap for paintballing and when I shoot my rifle. I was contemplating the Gopro, R7 camera, and this thing. This won out for the price, and I do NOT regret it! Like the gopro, it does have some fisheye...

Good but not Great

The video quality of this unit is quite good, it's small and compact and easy to start a recording. Downloading is a snap if you remove the micro SD card and plug directly into your computer, somewhat intermittent using the USB cable and software...
