SD camcorder with lots of built-in storage

The JVC Everio GZ-MG750 is one of the few new camcorders that shoots in standard definition instead of HD. Experts say the video quality is accordingly not the sharpest, but the MG750 does have a few important points in its favor -- notably...

80 GB hard drive holds hours of video, long 39x optical zoom, full manual controls, built-in video lamp

Low-light footage gets mixed reviews, lCD screen gets mixed reviews, short battery life, no external microphone, headphone jacks, mediocre image stabilizer

Excellent pictures, naff battery

This camera was amazing value and takes brilliant pictures but as others have said the battery life is terrible. To make things worse, the manual states that you should only use JVC batteries but according to JVC you can't buy spare batteries!
