Shopping by specs can result in a very disappointing purchase. The GE DV1 rugged minicamcorder is waterproof to 16 feet, shockproof to 5 feet, and dustproof. It records full HD-resolution video at 30 frames per second as well as at 720p at 30 or 60fps,...

The GE DV1 Pocket Video Camera is small, inexpensive, and water- and shockproof.

The DV1 captures motion poorly, is slightly confusing to use, has no video editing/sharing software, and uses a nonremovable rechargeable battery with a short life.

The rugged GE DV1minicamcorder is OK for casual Web videos. If you need more than that, look elsewhere.

Maxell’s Encore EN-5 offer a rich, full sound for an affordable price, beating out nearly all of the headphones in the test. However, our testers didn’t think they were very comfortable, nor did this pair do a good job staying put during use....

Love it and NO problems in or out of water

 

My husband and I have really liked this camera/camcorder. We've taken it to Hawaii, underwater in the ocean several times for both videos (long and short) and photos, it's gone to Yosemite, the beach, etc. The picture and video quality is super nice....
