The GoPro Hero7 Black adds stabilization to 4K60 video, and is the company's lone action camera with live streaming support.

Compact, rugged design. Waterproof to 33 feet. 4K 60fps recording with stabilization. Up to 240fps at 1080p. Voice control. Smartphone app with streaming support.

Battery life could be better. Wi-Fi file transfer time can be lengthy.

Bottom Line: The GoPro Hero7 Black adds stabilization to 4K60 video, and is the lone Hero with live streaming support.

Review: GoPro Hero7 Black

With new image stabilization features, the top action cam gets even better.

Improved image stabilization mitigates more shake. Way better time lapse video capabilities. Waterproof mic is clearer. Live streaming features let you get rad with an audience.

New touchscreen interface needs some refinement. Same general specs from last year makes this update feel a bit iterative.

Livestreaming is now supported across a number of platforms, including YouTube and Facebook. Previous GoPros could only stream to Periscope. Now it will work with pretty much any platform that has an open API.

Battery life could be better

Overall, the HERO7 Black is a great camera and possibly GoPro’s best camera to date. The HyperSmooth Stabilization makes it worth it, especially if you’re coming from a previous GoPro model.
