Makes it easier to record video

 

Nice to have. The new HERO 3 comes with wi-fi. You will be able to use your smartphone to see what you are recording without having to buy this. However, you won't be able to use your smartphone underwater so this is nice to have in certain situations...

I am using this with a gopro hero hd, I taped continuously for just over an hour with the screen in place and not one bit of trouble. It requires the most updated firmware from GoPro but that was a very short process including downloading the video...

Works well, video looks good. very handy. Kind of expensive. This is the only way to see what you're doing with the GoPro, on the go. The set-up gets bulky, and you need to use the expanded cases to fit. LCD uses lots of battery.
