Sony Handycam HDR-XR155E review

With great picture quality and a healthy amount of on-board storage for a reasonable price, the Sony Handycam HDR-XR155E is a smart choice for anyone planning to use their camcorder often. Don't expect great results on the photo side, though.

Plenty of storage space ; Easy to use ; Excellent quality video ; Long (25x) zoom ; Good value

A little on the heavy side for its size ; Slightly awkward to hold ; Not everyone will need the large amount of storage ; Mediocre photo performance

Barring a couple of minor points, we would happily recommend the Sony Handycam HDR-XR155E. It's compact, crammed full of useful features and, above all, remarkably easy to achieve great results with. Whether you opt for this over a memory-card-only...

Sony HDR-XR155E

Not the absolute latest Camcorder from Sony, but this current version will do everything that most will want. A hard disc to record to, great video in full HD and the ability to take still images at a size that can be reproduced at A4.

Doing my Internet searches found the Sony HDR-XR155E at a best price of £437.70 from the first link below

I have used this camcorder for 18 months now and been very pleased with it for recording video. It's light, convenient, a great piece of kit. A few things I haven't liked: (a) the small screen is hard to see detail in, especially when filming in bright...

Picture and sound quality, built in hard storage drive,battery life is good and the availability of bigger batteries a bonus, build quality and the lens

I think the HDMI lead should have been included and a wrist strap or case to put it in

Sony HDRXR155EB High Definition Handycam

This is an excellent camcorder. The hard drive means you dont have to mess round with cards. The recording in low light seems acceptable compared to a JVC I have used. Amozons service and delivery as always was brilliant.
