The JVC GR-DF450 will forever be in the shadow of its bigger brother, the JVC GR-DF550. The GR-DF450 has a lot to offer; unfortunately, so does the GR-DF550 - the Marsha Brady of JVC Ultra Compact camcorders. For only $20 more, the GR-DF550 offers a...

JVC GR-DF450 Camcorder Review - JVC MiniDV Camcorders

Compact camcorders are often gimmick devices intended to tap into the impulsive shopper's need for something cool. However, the JVC GR-DF series seems to dispel that theory by providing a wealth of features and ports into a relatively small machine....

Size DOES matter

My old camcorder was a Sony 8mm that I got about 10 years ago. It was small for its time, but I really wanted to get something that was much smaller now that I have 2 kids and all their junk to carry around with me!

Neat toy...but not the highest quality parts

Don't get me wrong. I like my little GR-DV3. I even got it on an online auction for about (60%)of the list price. It takes good video and I'm happy with the quality of every tape I've taken with it. I just think JVC could have gone the extra mile and...

Small is beautiful

This "fit in your pocket" size of this camera plus its hard case and automatic lens cover helps it be present at the right moments. I also use it as a still camera getting pictures very appropriate for use on the web. Unlike still-only digital...

Small Wonder

Having spent months researching websites and haunting camera counters at local department stores, I was finally forced to make a decision on a camcorder by the arrival of our first child. The price range was $500 or so, and DV was a must. I finally...

Lightweight Fun!

There are some afternoons, when the reports are done and there's not much pressing, I turn to the online auctions for a little fun!

Lightweight, compact, fun! Digital Quality!

I wish I got one with the color lcd screen. But that would have been like $500 more!
