Below Average

Small size, long record time for it's size. Good zoom (10x). Still images stored in JPG, video clips are MPEG4 and held on memory card

Image quality is very bad on a bright day. Backlight compensation is poor. 1M pixel stills are grainy. Difucult to hold. Microphone is too quiet

A great camcorder, great value.

Light, functional, rich in features, 1.0 Megapixel res is awesome, silent, built-in mic, IEEE 139...what can you get for less than $500

Videos shot with the use of SD card are poor in quality and require .asf plug-in to listen to audio when played on Windows Media Player. Pictures are mediocre in quality even at 1280x1024 dpi

Doesn't Live up

Bad image stabilization. Low light shooting is terrible!!! (3fps!) Resolution is not as high as they claim either.

Just a toy

This is little more than a toy. Video quality is good although I've used lower priced camcorders that give better results. MPG4 quality is poor. The audio is good but too many frames are dropped while recording video in MPG4 or transfering video to...

JVC GR-DVM96U MiniDV Cybercam

It took me about 1 hour (!!!) to figure out how to hold this thing. The ergonomics are unacceptable. Either one finger is on the microphone or on the autofocus. 2.The battery life is about 1/2hour, I bought an additional battery (1 1/2hours) for $100...
