After using our old camcorder this is a dream. The size and weight make it so nice. I love the features too! Take the time to read the manual. It will make it easier to figure out the functions quickly.

Great value for a small price.

 

I own a number of JVC products so when I saw this unit on sale, I ordered it. I was well pleased. It is easy to use and setup. If you need a camcorder to begin on, then this is the one!

JVC GR-SXM260US S-VHS-C Camcorder

 

I had a similar one that recently broke that I purchase 7 years ago. I appreciate the new size and swivel view. Also because I use for my children (who get shy at times) the zoom comes in handy.

Small Compact, Great Zoom, Price!!!!

Storage of video, however the price, size and zoom make up for it.

I bought this camera thinking since it was VHS it would perform better in low light (as did my older 8mm)than a digital one. WRONG. It also will drain the battery in 15 minutes. Resolution is poor with VHS mode and svhs tapes cost too much. Noisy tape...

The GR-SXM260 is a new compact stylish design. This newly designed SVHS-C model features a 2.5" LCD and built-in auotlight. The JVC GR-SXM260U boasts three recording modes: It uses Super VHS recording to deliver up to 60% better resolution than JVC's standard models for better quality home movies. For quality and economy, the Super VHS ET mode lets you take those high resolution videos using any VHS-C tape. For compatibility with any VHS video recorder, standard VHS is also available. A 2.5" LCD view screen allows the camera to be operated from any angle, for maximum comfort. The picture stabilizer gets rid of annoying picture shake. The 700X zoom makes sure you don't miss any of the action. A built-in light improves the picture in night time situations. Endurance Shooting allows up to two hours recording time with the provided battery pack. When you are done recording, the tapes play back & and can be shared in any VHS video recorder using the provided VHS-C Playpak.
