A decent camcorder for the right use

Not a bad over-all camcorder, you look like a professional when shooting. Due to weight, it is a chore to lug around. It comes with basic array of special effects, The rub is, its too expensive and heavy for the average user that might use the special...

Has a basic number of special effects, a stable recording platform, heavy duty

Heavy, the 5 minute auto turn off can drive you crazy, low battery life, Expensive if used for everyday projects and needs a heavy duty tripod. The older model makes it dificult to find still photos when searching. poor still picture quality

cheap feel for a cheap price

lacks real pro features that you would normally expect in a shoulder mount camera, however it is priced accordingly. you get what you pay for. Good for education market, I teach a basics on video production course, and this camera offers a pro-feeling...

Big step back from their previous models

I have been using this one for a while now, shot 5-10 weddings with it. My overall opinion is one of disappointment. Namely, the exposure leaves a lot to be desired. The camera is easily fooled by black tux's and white dresses. In the case of tux's,...

easy to use, light weight, decent image

poor exposure can't change exposure while recording

A great starter camcorder for any videographer!

This is my first professional level camcorder and I just have to say that this is a great start for me. This will do just fine for me and has so far. The video quality is terrific and comes out great during editing.

Great video performance, Clear audio, Focus Ring, Control Setup, Output Options

CCD size only 1/6 inch, but that's it

Good Starter Semi-Pro Cam

I like this camera, but I don't love it. This 3-CCD prosumer camera offer excellent picture quality at a remarkable price point. Mini-DV still offers better pic quality than DVD or harddrive cameras, if one can tolerate tape inconvenience and the DVC20...

Excellent pic quality, lightweight, pro-looks

Almost too small to shoulder. Low-light function useless. Eyepiece LCD tiny

AG-DVC20

The 1/6" of inch CCDs are poor in size for the price. the 1/4" of the DVC 60 is a major improvement.

Price very good

I have own this camera for a few years and found it to be just terrible in the focus department. The recorded footage has always had a soft look to it. I send it into the panasonic repair station in Kansas and it does look better. I just shot a live...

good stuff!!!! great deal!!

so far, the sound seems to be really good!!! i used it for a bit in the back yard, and every sound i heard outside was picked up flawlessly as i played it back on my pc, and all looked good and sounded great on my 32" hi def tv!!! this cam in 16:9...

i was going for a pro-sumer cam for doing weddings and concerts ; i did some good research, i found that this deal although not hi-def, to be one of the best ; this cam costs much more elsewhere, some places as much as $2000 ; the ability to manual...

no hi-def(which isnt a huge necessity, being that producing hi-def dvd's is still a very new process) ; view finder uncomfortable to work with, i will opt out and use the the included 2.5 inch monitor ; not many cons on this one, it is no better or...
