The 1/6" of inch CCDs are poor in size for the price. the 1/4" of the DVC 60 is a major improvement.

Price very good

I have own this camera for a few years and found it to be just terrible in the focus department. The recorded footage has always had a soft look to it. I send it into the panasonic repair station in Kansas and it does look better. I just shot a live...

good stuff!!!! great deal!!

so far, the sound seems to be really good!!! i used it for a bit in the back yard, and every sound i heard outside was picked up flawlessly as i played it back on my pc, and all looked good and sounded great on my 32" hi def tv!!! this cam in 16:9...

i was going for a pro-sumer cam for doing weddings and concerts ; i did some good research, i found that this deal although not hi-def, to be one of the best ; this cam costs much more elsewhere, some places as much as $2000 ; the ability to manual...

no hi-def(which isnt a huge necessity, being that producing hi-def dvd's is still a very new process) ; view finder uncomfortable to work with, i will opt out and use the the included 2.5 inch monitor ; not many cons on this one, it is no better or...

Low Budget, High Quality!

I could not be more pleased with this camera, and would recommend it to anyone who wants better results and more features than you can achieve with most of the consumer vidcams. I have made many purchases from Newegg, and have never been disappointed....

Great performance indoors, outdoors, day, night, rain or shine. (Of course, you do NOT want to get it wet.) Easy to use right out of the box. Easy to switch between LCD screen or viewfinder. Shoulder mount makes hand held work much easier. The colors...

None. NONE! You will want to use a better mic than the one on the camera, but that's typical for most camcorders. I have had excellent results with a small unit made by RODE. Paid $150 for it and it was worth every cent.

A Decent Buy

For the price, it's a good camera for filming concerts, weddings, shows, etc. Would be nice to have at least a 1/4" CCD for the money. I did some independent film work with one, but found that it's limitations and lack of variable frame rates proved...

Fantastic SD image quality and does fairly well in low light. Fast start-up with quiet operation. Long battery life with normal settings. Great color reception. Lightweight, Solid construction with professional appearance.

No on-board XLR inputs for pro audio is a bit of a limitation. Limited manual controls that are not so easy to manipulate. No zoom or iris ring (zoom speed is locked). Most functions are menu controlled instead of through switches. Low-res...

Please stop about no XLR inputs

Although I do not own this particular model, I own its little sister, the DVC7, and what I'm saying here needs to be said. (Hopefully, newEgg will do their customers a service and post it.) PLEASE don't let the lack of XLR inputs sway you. I am so...

Nice design and artwork

Most of the cameras with these three features are up in the $3000 range, essentially going for the low-end professional market. All the cameras currently selling for around $600-$700 skimp on some aspect of performance. If all you care about is making...

Product Specifications

The highly affordable AG-DVC20 delivers the stability, security and "on the job" respect of shoulder-style shooting. Weighing just 4.4 pounds in full operating condition, the camcorder is lightweight but a size that is not easily misplaced or hidden easily. The AG-DVC20 is equipped with three 460, 000-pixel CCDs and has an optical 10x zoom with Electric Image Stabilizer to compensate for jitter and vibration. Other key features include an IEEE 1394 DV interface for PC-based NLE systems, "Color Night View" that permits viewing at a minimum illumination of 0 lux, and a six-language menu. The camcorder's new One-Touch Navigation facilitates the control of all basic operations with one hand, allowing the shooter to handle a number of tasks quickly and easily without taking his eye off the subject. With a touch of a button, the Power LCD function brightens up the backlight, and produces clear, easy-to-see images in the LCD, even in bright sunlight. The AG-DVC20 has a standard record time of 83 minutes (124 minutes in LP mode).
