A decent offering for the price, but lacks in image detail.

Buying from J&R always a pleasure !

I use this camcorder for long continuous video recording,so a Larger capacity battery was needed. The standard battery is about 1 hr 45 min.Great for most people. Larger battery is 3-1\/2 hours.

Panasonic HC-V500 review

Panasonic calls the HC-V500 an ‘intermediate' camcorder, sitting around the middle of Panasonic's range of single-sensor camcorders, just below the upcoming HC-V700. Based on its sensor size alone it's the successor to last year's Panasonic HDC-SD80.

A step up from last year's HDC-SD80, especially in low light, but overall image quality from the small sensor isn't spectacular

Good video camera for this price

Quite fast delivery, the video function is good, we used it for friend's graduation date. Note that the photo function is not good. Just not as good as your cellphone. But for this price the camera is good enough.
