Excellent camera, one of the best I have ever bought.

Zoom set on x40 is still crystal clear, No problems with softwear and downloaded to PC in less than a minute. Has a mic input and a 28 mm wide angle lens

Battery last for about 1 and a half hrs, would need a spare battery. Also you would need to buy a Blu ray burner and disks as I found that in Hi Def you could only fit about 30min video on a 4.7g disk

Great in it's class

Great camera for making videos on nature (birds, animals), travel videos, etc. Excellent IS even with 40X zooming. Software is primitive and sometimes unstable; I use Cyberlink PowerDirector instead. In general, I would recommend it.

good image quality, excellent IS, 40X intelligent zoom, accessory shoe and input for external mic, uses SDHC cards, lightweight

no manual focus, included software is basic at best

Good Value

I've always looked for a camcorder with low light capability and reasonable price... this met tose requirements.

Panasonic HDC-SD90 review

The key to producing a decent 3D camcorder is to make sure that, first and foremost, it is a great 2D camera. Panasonic managed this admirably with its first 3Dcorder – the high-end HDC-SDT750 – but now it has brought the technology to the mid-range...

Panasonic HDC-SD90 review

We've seen a few 3D-capable camcorders making their debuts recently, including JVC's GS-TD1 and GZ-HM960 and Panasonic's HDC-SDT750. The HDC-SD90 is Panasonic's entry-level 3D-flavoured compact camcorder, although you'll need to kit yourself out with...

Slick design, comfortable, flexible shooting options, 1080p capture

3D capability is patchy, no headphone socket

This is a great sub-£500 camcorder with lots of features and flexibility resulting in high quality footage. The 3D element is interesting, but could be better

Full HD camcorder with option for 3D shooting

HD movie quality ; 28mm wide-angle lens ; Resonsive touchscreen ; Inut ; outut terminals ; Range of manual features

Auto white balance issues ; Average bass quality on audio ; Unnecessary 3D otion ; Zoom too fast

A massive thumbs-up for the Panasonic HDC-SD90. This is almost the complete camcorder. It's hard to see, for the sub-£500 price, how you could reasonably ask for more. Watching our test footage played back, even mundane shots are imbued with an...

Panasonic HDC-SD90 first look

The Panasonic HDC-SD90 is the flagship of Panasonic's single CMOS sensor (or 1MOS) camcorder range.

The Panasonic HDC-SD90 is well built and has good ergonomics with an intuitive touchscreen control. It has a bright lens plus decent lens reach and feature set but is relatively expensive and clad in a plastic-y high gloss case.

Panasonic HDC-SD90

Panasonic's latest mid-range offering can shoot 3D, but there's much more to it than that.

Great video performance ; Comprehensive enthusiast features ; Optional 3D shooting

No headphone minijack ; 3D lens £280 extra

The 3D compatibility may be the biggest headline for the HDC-SD90, but at its core this is essentially a very well featured midrange HD camcorder. If your budget can’t quite stretch to a high-end model, this model would make a very acceptable...
