The Panasonic NV-GS35 is an ordinary MiniDV video camcorder with an extraordinary optical-zoom range.

Superb zoom reach ; Solid video quality ; Excellent battery life ; Simple controls

Panasonic has gone above and beyond, releasing its NV-GS35 with its massive 30x optical zoom, dwarfing the usual 20 or so times zooms found on other cameras.

I own the nv-gs27 which is pretty much the same optics and base engine without a few ancillaries like Remote, S-video, light, color lcd and software. I paid a lot less for the nv-gs27 considering that i can live without what is not available with the...

Good buy or goodbye?


I have, until now, always trusted Panasonic products but this camera has jolted my faith in them. I would not recommend it to anhone.

Much admired for its physical size and quality of results.

No ability to accept incoming digital feed for, for example, a PC where the film has been edited. It would have been useful to input the edited film on to a clean tape and then copied that tape to VHS or DVD.Camera has proved unreliable despite two...
