Panasonic PV DV52

Panasonic PVDV52 MiniDV Digital Camcorder w/ 2.5" Color LCD.

Although its 10x optical zoom is lower than other camcorders, it still provides a close-up image for average recording, and a hefty 700x digital zoom capability as well. The image stabilization feature of the PV-DV52 worked well, keeping our frame...

Great Deal

DO your research! i did days of research on cameras before i decided on this one. I knew of the cameras short comings before i bought it. However most of the video examples online were shot by joe somebody and dont really show off what the camera is...

Cheap! Great features that are normally found on much more expensive cameras. the Image stabilization is amazing! lightweight and easy to use. very versatile. built in sound recording is pretty good

picture quality, while the resolution of the video is 1920 x 1080 the image is actually up-converted to meet that. this is especially noticeable when zoomed in near 50X. The battery life is pretty weak when recording. The manual controls are very...

Horrible

Lightweight and small

Picture quality is not great. My pocket camera takes movies that are just as good. The quality of the still pictures is terrible

Awesome Camera For The Price

This camera is very easy to use for those who don't wanna bother, yet gives you a lot of manual control to those who like that. The included battery films for about 2 hours if you don't zoom in and out too much or stop and restart recordings. It would...

Very high optical zoom ; Cheap (got this on holiday sale for $200), cheaper than my camera, lol ; The image quality is decent ; Seems to filter out wind noises relatively well

The battery has a firmware in it, and you cannot just use any spare battery ; For those who care, this is not "TRUE HD" in that the true HD should have about 2.1 megapixels (1920x1080 pixels) in the image sensor. This one has only a half of that....

Disappointed for low image quality

Took a shot at the low price of $199 hoping for a much bettter camcorder than my Panasonic SD9 which I bought for $299 in 2008.j

Compact. Light. Touch Screen. Panasonic Brand

New MOS sensor is inferior to my much older generation 3CCD Panasonic SD9 camcorder in over all image quality for day light usage. Not happy with this camcorder and will return it. Image quality looks terrible on large 1080P Panasonic HD Plasma TV

No issues to report, very happy

This is my first HD camcorder so I am inexperienced, but am completely satisfied. I chose this Panasonic over the competitors because it advertised having important features like 16GB built in memory and a good zoom which was better than other...

Works as advertised ; 16GB built-in memory (I believe its 5 minutes per GB at highest quality setting) ; Great zoom and focusing ; Impressed with full HD video quality at default settings ; Comfortable to hold and easy to setup and use even for newbie...

Only thing I can think of is I wish it also came with a mini HDMI cable to connect directly to my HDTV
