A hard disk drive camcorder for the everyman

30GB hard drive ; SD memory support ; Dolby Digital sound

Poor still images ; Slight jitter in video ; Average sound

A great set of manual controls and videomaking features is let down a little by the image and sound performance

I've had this camera a few days now and I love it. Although it's a bit painful to download to my PC, the actual use of the camera is fantastic. It's intuitive to use and takes great quality film and pictures. It was definitely worth the money.

A 30GB hard drive, included SD card, feels pretty light in small hands. A trivial thing, but I love that the lens cap clips on to the hand strap so it's not dangling down as you try to film.

Port to connect the USB cable to the camera is underneath the battery. I would have thought it would make more sense to put the port somewhere more accessible so that you didn't have to remove the battery to connect the camera to your PC. Considering...
