The SC-MX10 is an excellent standard definition camcorder for the consumer wanting an easy to use product to introduce them into the solid state recording market. It is packed full of features, has a extremely powerful 34X zoom, is lightweight and when...

Samsung VP-MX10

The VP-MX10 is a flash memory-based camcorder that records standard-definition video to SDHC memory cards. It can be viewed as a devolution of Samsung...

Low price tag, 35x optical zoom, nifty swivel handgrip

Bereft of features, cheap build quality, image quality failed to impress

The VP-MX10 offers an adequate (if somewhat average) performance for the asking price. If you’re after a bargain-basement camcorder that's tiny and easy to use, the VP-MX10 should fit the bill. Otherwise, go for something a little more expensive.

I have, as yet, found no bad points regarding the camera.

Samsung VP-MX10

Good interface and image quality for the price and looks much sleeker than most of the top end cameras. Very easy to use and is perfect for the amateur who doesn't know about things like exposure and what not.

Is very inefficient with memory, where a minute of video is about 36mb. This can be rapidly reduced with a computer but not with the camera alone, which can be a nuisance if your on holiday. I also found that occasionally the camera couldn't access the...
