The camera is light. It records in HD and also the camera is 14MP. For the price and quality it is hard to get a good camcorder and camera. This meant I only had to take one item rather then a separate camera and camcorder.

Light, small and easy to use/transport

Too light and therefore very difficult to hold steady. As a result the picture quality was very poor. Definitely need to use a tripod to ensure a decent picture, however that is not much use if you are on the move when trying to film. Very expensive...

It's very basic. Lots of complicated functions cannot be performed.

Easy to use and quick.

purchased to replace DVD camcorder but pic quality not good enough. May be 1080 but not good if what makes up the 1080 pixels is poor.

Records directly in MP4 format, so no need to mess about converting from one format to another.

Dreadful image quality in any other than bright light... If you want to record footage indoors then buy a different one.

Simple to use, light, compact, inexpensive camera for HD recording, takes stills, sound quality suprisingly good.

Cheap plasticky casing, scratches easily, feels like it might break. Needs relatively high capacity SDHC card to give useful recording time in HD (>8Gb at least, probably twice that ideally). Battery life poor. Digital zoom gives blurry images,...

Superb HD picture quality when displayed from camera SD card to HD TV using HDMI lead (purchased separately). Very light and easy to handle.

Not supplied with an HDMI lead. No software supplied to transfer from camera to DVD. Needs Windows 7 to get best quality playback on PC.

Very little, in fact the best things are probably the specifications and features on paper; however, these don't bear any resemblance to the actual performance or capability of the camera.

Taking videos and/or pictures: Video image quality is woeful, particularly if the subject is moving, the camera moves (at all) or you are inside. It seemed to miss a few frames every couple of seconds as the video "jumped" regularly. On a TV, the image...

Easy to use, good quality still photo's, light weight. Ideal for holidays. Wverall highly recommended.

Not too good in poor lighting conditions, really needs daylight. Picture jerky when played back using quicktime. Could do with a better zoom.
