Sony Bloggie Touch

While Cisco has shuttered its popular Flip camera division for 2011, Sony forges ahead full steam with no less than four Bloggie variants, including the venerable Bloggie Touch. The 1080p pocket cam emphasizes style and ease of use with an...

Responsive, bright touchscreen ; Simple, easy to learn and use UI and controls ; Crisp, accurate stills and videos ; Ability to take stills during recording ; Slim, sleek, minimalist design

No SD card slot ; No audio output jack ; Chassis scratches easily; screen easily smudged ; Can be awkward to hold when shooting stills

Considering what you get for the price, the Sony Bloggie Touch stands among the top of its competition.

Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 (Silver)

There is a lot of competition in the minicamcorder/pocket video camera space. Sony's Bloggie Touch stands out for its design and build quality, which is centered around a 3-inch touch screen. Past Sony models were lacking in the look and feel...

Attractive, lightweight, and small; full use of 3-inch screen for shooting; autofocus macro; captures stills while shooting video; simple to use.

Autofocus can be slow; no memory expansion; no HDMI cable included; no mic or headphone jack; weak software.

If you're looking for a simple shoot-and-share minicamcorder, the Bloggie Touch is a good option--that is, as long as you understand its limitations.

Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 – With AutoFocus

There is plenty of competition right now in the market for minicamcorders. Sony's Bloggie Touch is different from the crowd out there in terms of build quality and design. There is a three inch touch screen interface which looks really good. Previous...

Sleek, solid and a serious Flip rival

Sony Bloggie Touch review

The Sony Bloggie Touch, or MHS-TS20, or Mobile HD Snap Camera depending on where you look on the device and packaging, is a pocket camcorder that looks to take a step forward in video quality over some rivals.

Autofocus, great video quality, compact design, screen

Autofocus mechanism chirps meaning noisy video, tripod mount is in the wrong place, can't upgrade memory or change battery

As it is, some will find that the Sony Bloggie Touch doesn’t provide a satisfactory result, but depending on your requirements, it is worth looking at if you want a compact device that is simple to use and offers excellent quality video capture

Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 pocket camcorder

To blog, or not to blog: that is the question." If you believe online video blogs have a place in this world (and aren't, for example, a hideous brai...

Good Full HD video performance, attractive design, user-friendly interface

Smudge-prone LCD, no swivel-lens

Despite a few design quirks, the Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 is a definite improvement over its non-touchscreen-equipped predecessor. It is capable of taking very attractive video and is ultra-stylish to boot.

Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20K

Sony's latest Bloggie puts your video in perspective with its 360-degree camera attachment.

Sony certainly hasn’t skimped on the internals of the Bloggie Touch, either. Inside is a sizeable 1/2.5in CMOS sensor with Exmor technology. This is Sony’s version of back-side illumination technology, where the sensor wiring grid is placed behind the...

The Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 is Sony's follow-up to its Bloggie MHS-CM5 pocket camcorder.

Sony gets touchy with its 360 degree-shooting pocket camcorder

A better-than-average pocket cam, but not the game-changer we were hoping for

Sony Bloggie Touch review

The Sony Bloggie Touch will probably be ideal if you're seeking a mini-camcorder that you can stash in your pocket and use to capture decent video. A lack of settings and a sluggish autofocus limit its uses, though.

Shoots in 1080p ; Produces high-quality video ; Simple, sleek design

Digital zoom best avoided ; Often sluggish autofocus

The Sony Bloggie Touch is an appealing mini-camcorder. Its sluggish autofocus and lack of settings mean its uses are quite limited, but it will prove a faithful companion if you want a small camcorder that you can carry around at all times in order to...
