Sony Handycam HDR-CX360V

Sony's Handycam HDR-CX360V should be the company's $599 camcorder offering, but I suspect is priced about $200 higher in order to rationalize the too-crowded product line. The good news is that if you work a little, you can find it for under $600, at...

The Sony Handycam HDR-CX360V is attractively designed, with an unusual and nice-feeling brown matte-plastic body. It delivers some unusual features, too, including GPS and built-in stereo speakers

At its best, the video looks too soft and a bit noisier in low light than some competitors. Also, for its price, some people might expect more manual controls

While it's a fine model, the Sony Handycam HDR-CX360V seems too expensive for the video quality and features it delivers.

"Excellent all around HD camcorder."

I like it, I think finally I have a camcorder I can live with. My CX-150 is too basic, my HDR-SR11 is too big and bulky to carry around all the time, this CX360V seems like the perfect balence.

Recently shot some video in the early evening with one stree light available. Video has a considerable reduction in graininess compared to my HDR-SR11 that has a bigger 1/3 CMOS sensor.

No Night Shot! Why did sony pull this option from this camcorder?? I mean it has 1080P, GPS and a killer CMOS sensor. Ill give up the GPS geotagging for some night shot please!

Excellent Camcorder

I use this camcorder to video history interviews. I has performed excellently. The built in memory and standard battery is more than adequate for most interviews but the ability to add a memory card and a larger battery makes it especially versatile.

Love this camera

After using for about 6 months now, I can't find anything to establish fault with this camera. It takes great quality video for the price and when you pair it with a good editing software program (I use Sony Vegas), it creates awesome post production...

Great camera for its class

The camera is great for its class. I love the stabilization system. Great zoom. Picture is not as sharp as the pro class cameras but for home, youtube, internet videos and non commercial productions is more than enough. The still shots are also very...

Great for beginners and casual users

This was my first video camera, so needless to say I didn't want an overload of manual options that I had to tweak in order to get a good shot. The quality is great, but a little grainy in lower light situations. Sound is awesome, and even has a...
