Sony Handycam HDR-CX150 review: Sony Handycam HDR-CX150

A follow-up to the CX100, the Sony Handycam HDR-CX110, CX150, and XR150 represent Sony's budget-priced HD triumvirate. They differ only by color and storage media--the CX110 has no built-in memory, the CX150 has 16GB built in, and the XR150...

Compact; lens focuses relatively fast.

Merely OK video quality; worse-than-expected lens flare problems in bright sunlight.

Its small size and attractive price might draw you to the Sony Handycam HDR-CX150, but this bare-bones camcorder just barely delivers on the promise of HD quality.

Sony HDR-CX150

Compact and sometimes wowed us in tests, but lacks many features seen on higher-end models

Low noise levels; Motion looked decent

Color accuracy lacking; Mixed low light results

An extremely compact and versatile little camcorder that actually does justice to the money spent.

"Amazingly Great Video Quality, And Good Audio Quality."

Good Zoom, Video Quality Is Far More Better Than Any Other Cam Within This Range. Zoom Mic Does Great Job. iAuto Feature Is Superb.

Records Wind Too Much. Images Are Worst. A Simple 2MP Mobile Camera Defeat It In Image Quality.

Somewhat lacking

It does not have an input function, only output, if you are thinking about using this camcorder to record TV, look for other camcorders. The camcorder is the bang for the buck. Somewhat lacking features are what you get for having HD recording with...

High quality video. 1080p ; Built in quality microphone ; Small size: It slides in a pocket and this comes really handy

Battery life: The stock battery life gives little more than 2 hours of recording on a high setting. To get more battery life, you have to purchase extra battery, which is bulkier and costs $100 ; Memory: The stock memory of 16GB provides about 2.5...
