Sony Handycam HDR-UX5

High-def recording for the masses at AU$1,799. You'll have to do without optical image stabilisation though.

Outlook A few desirable features have been lost to bring the HDR-UX5 in at its attractive price. If you can spare a few hundred dollars more, try the AU$2,099 HDR-UX7 on for size. For that you get a few more megapixels, a larger LCD screen, optical...

HIGH DEFINITION HYBRID BLOWOUT!

Well, I was at Circuit City after seeing that they are discontinuing this model for a newer one (so what's so new???). However, this model is just several months old. They were selling these for $349 until they ran out of them (they were nearly $1,000...

DVD is not practical for lengthy filming in HD. However, is typical otherwise. I am not a real fan of Sony proprietary memory...

Horrible

I cant explain how disappointed I was to have gotten this camera.. after all the reviews I read I finally decided to get this camera.. big bummer... the night vision is great!!! Sadly when using the night vision your battery drains twice as fast.

excellent night vision, small, easy to use

blurry images, night vision takes more than half battery in one 5 min use

Amazing camcorder

This is an awesome HiDef camcorder. I purchased a 3 pack of filters to go along with it and I've been really impressed with the picture quality. The colors are vivid and bright. As with most HiDef camcorders, low light situations are grainy, so I'll...
