This cameras compact and light weight package is great. I have a Sony EX3 and its obviously a more advanced camera, but it can be a bit cumbersome in some situations. The HXR does great in so many situations, and still delivers quality video images....

I have a Sony not of this caliber and it has a poor zoom control also. I use the remote which gives me a nice slow steady zoom.
