JVC positions the KD-AVX1 as an in-dash, DVD-playing car radio replacement. Right. As if you'd be happy moving from a 50-inch HDTV at home to a 3-inch TFT in the car.
Display on face of unit, so it doesn't pop up and block vents. Plays CDs, MP3s, WMAs, DVDs, even MP3s (up to 1,000 of them) on a DVD. Satellite ready. Fits standard 2-inch-high opening.
The display is too small for properly watching DVDs. Need some knowledge, best installed by a technician.

Great machine.
Just read that review above. This unit does play DVD+R. I should know because I have made many music DVD's using +R disc's. The only draw back, is not being able to FF MP3's. But to be honest, thats a small issue for me. Wonderful system, buy it!
