Expensive ; no native GPS support

With its multiple A/V connections and DVD/CD player, the Sony XAV-A1 is a very capable head unit. It's an attractive choice, if you can afford it.

Good picture quality. Plays MP3 CDs (or MP3 DVDs) as well. Only needs a single-DIN (7" x 2") standard opening.

Costly for something that can't (and shouldn't) be used while driving. Need some knowledge, best installed by a technician.

A reasonable front-seat DVD player at a time when the back seat entertainment is where it's at for most (not all users).

All Shots Sony's XAV-A1 is a fine product in a declining category: in-dash...
