By Wayne Cunningham (zdnet.com)

2008 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMGWhen Mercedes-Benz updated its flagship S-class sedan for 2007, it made the car a technology masterpiece. Now, AMG, the German carmaker's in-house tuner division, turned that car into a performance masterpiece. The 2008 ...

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG handles incredible well for a big sedan and has oodles of power. Its GPS uses high-resolution maps, its stereo system sounds excellent, and it has over-the-top tech like night vision and massage seats.

The gas mileage on the S63 AMG is pitiful, with our observed average being 13.2 mpg.

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG defines luxury and performance, offering usable and high-quality cabin gadgets pushed down the road by a powerful, and thirsty, engine.

2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport

By Wayne Cunningham (zdnet.com)

2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 SportFor a remarkably affordable price, the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport model gives you better cabin tech than we've seen in Mercedes-Benz models costing more than $100,000. To be fair, the C300 is a 2008 model, and we've ...

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport represents an excellent value with a particularly usable cabin technology interface. Its voice command works well, and navigation is hard drive-based. The premium Harmon Kardon Logic7 stereo sounds very good.

"This car is absolutely amazing!"

By BobbyBoy63 (cnet.com)

I looked at both the G35x and the C300 Sport ...

I have the 4Matic (60rear/40front). The car handles like it's on rails. The build quality is outstanding (Germany). For only 228HP, it will get up and go when pushed (red line 6k). The media center is great. Sport Sedan look is a head turner.

A tad bumpy on rough roads. When in manual shift mode, shift changes seem to lag a bit.

"The C300 allows luxury at an entry level price."

This MB has a tight transmission with the 6speed Tiptronic. Smooth and powerful accelleration. More of a driving experience, that this former BMW driver enjoys. The leather, pop-up NAV and Multimedia package provide a truly positive experience.

The leg room is a bit limited in the front and back seats. I am 6 feet tall, and could use about 2 more inches travel on the driver's seat. And the DVD-in-motion limiter prevents you from manually entering NAV destination info while driving.

"2009 MB or Chrysler?"

By audiocableguy (cnet.com)

My 13 year old C36 makes this thing feel like...

Navigation, Seats, Looks. Front seats are comfortable. Back seat comfort is fair.

Brakes are a joke. Steering is average. Engine makes more noise than power from dead stop. 4 average size adults on flat ground, add hills and gear, a Camry will pass you. COMAND needs help. Going to try the C350 and see if things get better.
