LG GH22NS DVD Writer
This is generation of DVD and without DVD ROM or RAM computer is waste. At least you need to have reader attached with your system. When my CD writer lens was broken I decided to buy DVD writer. The main reason for buying the DVD writer is

Would only read at less than 8X and burn around 2X, updated the firmware and no change. Called LG service, nice people but not much help. Just slow, read slower than an a three yr old 8X drive and burning a DVD at max speed using Nero would take 50 to 60...
