AC cable bulks it out considerably, No Mac software provided
Sony's slimline DRX-S70U drive is quite appealing for travellers or those with dud notebook drives -- as long as you've got space for the AC adaptor.
Sony's slim DRX-S70U drive addresses both of these areas neatly. Performance ...
Dud DVD players aren't that common, so the people who would buy this product need this as their primary DVD. Macbook Air and EeePC users for example. Oh, that right, this is for PC users only...
Nice product
No market without drivers
Why would Sony want to support MAC for, considering PC's are more popular. As for AC Adapter, well common sense is you cant fit a power supply in a drive that thin, and USB power wouldnt be enough to power a burner.
I've heard people complain that the drive isn't bus powered, but it's a USB drive, and even with a dual plug cord, you won't get nearly enough power to use the drive. Power brick for the drive isn't too big to carry around.
Slim profile, solid construction, relatively inexpensive, fast burning speeds. This drive has worked reliably for me with absolutely no problems.
