Acer Liquid review: Acer Liquid

This product has not yet been reviewed.

The Acer Liquid comes preloaded with a number of extra apps that enhance the multimedia capabilities. The smartphone has a fun, sporty look. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G are all onboard.

The touch screen isn't quite as responsive as we like and makes using the keyboard a bit frustrating; it also lacks multitouch capabilities. The phone can be sluggish, and the camera didn't take the best pictures.

The Acer Liquid is a solid Android smartphone with some fun extras, but it doesn't have the power of some of the other Android devices out there.

Acer Liquid review: Android breed

The Android meter is ticking. Acer want a piece of the pie. We all add two and two together. Yesterday, Acer didn't know the first thing about phones (if you can say that for a household name in notebooks), today they're betting on two horses in the...

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support ; 3G with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps ; Android OS v1.6 with Acer UI 3.0 ; 3.5" capacitive touchscreen of WVGA resolution ; Qualcomm Snapdragon 8250 768 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM ; 5 megapixel autofocus camera with video...

Camera lacks flash or lens cover, has outdated features ; No smart dialing, no voice dialing, no video calling ; No web Flash support ; Acer UI 3.0 offers only minor changes to the original interface ; Somewhat limited 3rd party software availability ;...

We have to admit we weren't as impressed as we wished by the neoTouch and its almost naked Windows Mobile OS. It was less the price and more the really strong competition that drew our attention away from it

Acer Liquid

Acer's Liquid is now available in either white or black and uses Google's spectacular Android OS

A well priced Android device but its LCD and sluggish performance hurt what could have been an excellent value buy.

Acer Liquid Review

Acer may be a beginner in the handset market, but it has still managed to design a winner with the Liquid. The Acer Liquid is a large phone with a number of features. Acer will continue to learn from their forays into the mobile phone market, however...

Acer Liquid - HardwareZone.com

The Android scene is starting to get crowded, and Acer is putting the pedal to the metal with their new Acer Liquid.

Beautiful exterior; Ample screen size; Bonus features such as Spinlets and Acer-designed widgets for ease of use

Limited number of pages for homescreen; Sub-par imaging quality with no LED flash; Unresponsive virtual QWERTY keyboard

Acer Liquid smartphone

The Acer Liquid is a touchscreen smartphone equipped with Google Android 1.6

Reasonably speedy

Touchscreen is not as responsive as it should be

It's a long step forward from the Acer S200 neoTouch - but the Liquid trails behind slightly more polished examples of Android, such as Google's own Nexus One. Which in turn means the Acer Liquid is a some way behind the iPhone in sheer usability. It...

Acer Liquid review

The PC purveyor's first Android attempt has landed. But can it mix it with the hottest new Google phones on the block?

An impressive battery life and fast browser can’t stop the Liquid from being drowned out by its Android rivals

Acer Liquid review

A well-built phone with a fast processor and good battery life, but as it's based on Android 1.6 and lacks social aggregation software, it just misses out on an award.
