Alcatel One Touch Evolve (T-Mobile)

At just under $100, the Alcatel One Touch Evolve is a pretty good Android smartphone. Its 4-inch display isn't going to turn heads, but it's a good choice for first-time smartphone users on T-Mobile.

Inexpensive. Sleek design. Runs Android 4.1.2 Jellybean. Quick web browsing. Swype keyboard is the default choice.

No LTE. Little on-board storage. Poor noise-cancellation.

Conclusion The Alcatel One Touch Evolve isn't the best Android phone on T-Mobile. That's the Galaxy S4 . But for $100 total, it's not a bad deal at all, offering good performance and features for the price.

Alcatel One Touch Evolve review

There's no way around it, the Alcatel One Touch Evolve is cheap — both in price and specs. At $99 all-in, it's a bargain smartphone that has a sleek design, but it's held back by an old version of Android, a dim screen, and a lousy fixed-focus camera.

The Alcatel One Touch Evolve has impressive call quality and it's one of the lowest-priced phones on T-Mobile.

The phone lacks 4G support, has a slow processor, and the screen is fuzzy and dim.

At $99, the Alcatel One Touch Evolve is an affordable Android phone, but its dismal performance makes it not even worth that price.

"Good for being Entry-Level, Rubbish at everything else"

Overall, I think it's a good starter phone, and I mean starter. It froze up on me at least 4 times, the wallpaper gets little lines on it (i'm sure there's a name for it in another review) and sometimes it doesn't even work with certain apps. I also...

Runs Higher than Android 4.0, (Sort of) durable

"Unstable operating system"

While a very cheap phone, that is unfortunately out shown by the fact that the operating system is completely unstable. I have had to reboot my phone on average 3 or 4 times a day. I get frequent "stopped responding" error messages, usually from the...

Excellect budget smartphone, camera has no shutter lag

Excellect budget smartphone, Fast, a 5M back camera with no shutter lag. FM radio. Front camera. Less than 50 dollars. The pixel density is 240, which is high. So the screen is sharp. The 5M back camera is a fix-focus camera without flashlight, which...

The screen is sharp(density is 240). The 5M back camera is a fix-focus camera which has NO shutter lag. Its CPU is MT6575 single core 1GHZ, which is the fastest single core cpu platform. It has a FM radio and a front camera.

The screen viewing angle is limited (Good for privacy ) The back camera has no LED flash light.
