RIM BlackBerry 7100g (AT&T)

The RIM BlackBerry 7100g's 2.1-inch, 65,000-color-plus screen is easy on the eyes with plenty of detail, thanks to its 240x260-pixel resolution. You can change the font size and style, as well as switch on antialiasing to smooth the rough edges of...

The slim and trim RIM BlackBerry 7100g features a bright display and a pseudo-QWERTY keypad in a slim and trim package. It also has Bluetooth, and it syncs with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and BlackBerry servers.

The BlackBerry 7100g's modified keyboard takes some time to master, and the Bluetooth works only with wireless headsets. The 7100g also lacks a instant-messaging client, and Java apps are not downloadable.

Cingular subscribers looking for on-the-go e-mail access in a slim, lightweight device will warm to the RIM BlackBerry 7100g--that is, if they're patient with the tricky keypad.

RIM BlackBerry 7100g

The design difference is seen on the Cingular 7100g's keyboard, which is a little different from the original 7100t's keyboard, and it works a little bit better. Because there are spaces between them the keys are easier to hit accurately.

Looks and feels like a cell phone. Excellent push e-mail

No instant messaging. No EDGE. Destroys attachment formatting

Like its stablemate, T-Mobile's RIM BlackBerry 7100t, the RIM BlackBerry 7100g is an excellent e-mail phone. But even though its keyboard is improved, its lack of instant messaging, higher price, and inability to take advantage of the Cingular EDGE...

BlackBerry 7100g

The BlackBerry 7100g is an amazing quad band hybrid PDA. The 7100g is the same phone as the 7100v and 7100x. The excellent design makes it much more than just a phone. It is a phone, organizer, and a very much needed business tool. The new BB 7100g...

RIM BlackBerry 7100g Review

Snapshot: RIM BlackBerry 7100g

Today Cingular announced that they will soon begin offering the latest variant of RIM's BlackBerry 7100 line of mobile phones, the 7100g. Like the others before it, the 7100g supports a QWERTY keyboard, a large 65k color display, and Bluetooth.

"First Phone that actually does what its supposed to do!!!"

This phone is a great phone. I wasn't to happy to have to pay an extra $49.99 per month on top of my $69.99 plan with Cingular but this is the only BlackBerry I would carry around with me.

Bright Screen, Customizable Ringtones and Wallpapers, Immediate Email, Outlook Integration, TXT Messaging Ease

SureType hard to get used to, Expensive pricing on top of your existing Cingular plan

"Best BlackBerry yet"

This is a great device. After experiencing major difficulties with the 7290, I upgraded to this 7100g and I couldn't be more pleased. While the 7290 fell short on its phone functionality, I'm pleased to report no such problems with this phone. Calls...

Compared to previous BlackBerrys, sports a much better phone, brighter and sharper display, slimmer body, reliable Bluetooth.

For a high end (expensive) device, it lacks some key features: no camera, no expandable memory, no music playback.
