Blackberry 7100V Cell Phone Review

BlackBerry 7100 Series handsets provide the best combined wireless phone, email and data experience for users who prefer a smaller handset design. They offer complete BlackBerry functionality, wirelessly connecting users with important communications...

Form factor, sound quality, Constant access to email wherever you are.

Blackberry 7100v

Even now, email remains the internet's killer application. So wouldn't it be rather compelling if you could receive it as soon as it's sent, just as quickly as you'd get an email at work or on broadband? We're email junkies ourselves. A few hours away...

Exceptional email functionality, Bluetooth compatibility, Choice of tariffs

Could be rather expensive, Keyboard an acquired taste, No Wi-Fi

One aspect of the phone that's not quite as intuitive is the keyboard. Yep, you're looking at it right, instead of a conventional phone keypad, the 7100v has a QWERTY keyboard by putting two-letters on a key

Vodafone Blackberry 7100v smartphone review

Blackberry's dominance in the push-email arena seems to be not letting up one bit, and its popular 7230 Qwerty keyboard based handset also seems to be finding its way onto the belts of business users around the world. So when Research in Motion,...

Clear screen, more mobile phone looking

Keys can be confusing at start, Emails only arrive every 15 minutes

Blackberry cracked it with the 7230, this version we are not so sure

Vodafone 7100v BlackBerry Handset

With the 7100v you can get the BlackBerry mobile email client in a much smaller form factor than the original, but how many compromises have been made?

The 7100v is a good attempt to make a BlackBerry device smaller, so that it can be the only phone you have to carry. Unfortunately the usability has been compromised too much in order to achieve the smaller form factor, and more phone-like appearance....

BlackBerry 7100v

Vodafone's BlackBerry 7100v is a fair mobile email device so long as you don't need to handle graphics, large spreadsheets or complex documents. But as a handheld/phone combo it's eclipsed by more capable Palm OS- and Windows Mobile-based offerings.

Supports both push and pull email ; Clear screen ; Good battery life ; Quad-band GSM/GPRS

Limited memory ; No expansion card slot ; Keyboard is awkward to use ; Lacks Wi-Fi

BlackBerry 7100v

The original BlackBerry, which it appears almost half the population of the planet now owns, had a pager-style design befitting its role as a corporate email tool. With an eye on pulling in consumers...

The 7100v, which costs from nothing to £82.

The keyboard is a big drawback.

Research In Motion - BlackBerry 7100v

If you think BlackBerry devices are all blue and square-ish, you are in for a surprise. Eager to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, and aware that the size and shape of traditional BlackBerry ...

The BlackBerry concept is great if you need access to e-mail all the time and don't need sophisticated handheld computing features. SureType was not that successful for us, but this reviewer comes from a keyboard-using background rather than a...
